Beehive 13U Finish Second at USSSA Hotshot of Summer On Turf in Millbrook

Millbrook, AL-Despite seeing their 4-run lead whittled down by the end, Beehive 13U still held off for a 4-3 victory on Saturday. Auburn Wildcats Henthorne closed the gap by scoring on a single and a single.
Beehive 13U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kennedy Lee walked, and Auburn Wildcats Henthorne dropped a third strike, each scoring one run.
Beehive 13U added two runs in the third after Caroline Busby hit a sacrifice fly.
Charlee Ann Riddle earned the win for Beehive 13U. The hurler gave up five hits and three runs over four innings, striking out one and walking six.
Caroline led the team with one run batted in. Kennedy paced Beehive 13U with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Macie Bellflower and Kennedy each stole multiple bases for Beehive 13U. Beehive 13U turned one double play in the game. Beehive 13U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Kennedy made the most plays with five.

Beehive 13U added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Reilly drew a walk, scoring one run, and Caroline doubled, scoring three runs.
Beehive 13U added one run in the third after Audrey doubled down the left field line.

Caroline, the number nine hitter for Beehive 13U, led the way with three runs batted in. The switch hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Audrey and Joi McKenzie were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Beehive 13U while hitting back-to-back. Mackenzie Johnson paced Beehive 13U with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Kennedy Lee stole two bases. Beehive 13U didn't commit a single error in the field. Reilly had the most chances in the field with four.
It came down to the wire on Saturday at 17 Springs, as Beehive 13U grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 8-6, over Auburn Wildcats Henthorne. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the fifth when Audrey Givens doubled, scoring two runs.
Caroline Busby drove in four runners in the win. The switch hitter went 1-3 on the day.

Millbrook, AL- Beehive 13U trailed by as many as five, but came back to top Limitless Fastpitch 14U on Saturday at 17 Springs, 6-5.
Beehive 13U tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a triple by Charlee Ann Riddle, and an inside the park home run by Joi McKenzie.
Macie Bellflower earned the win for Beehive 13U. The hurler surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out none and walking one.
Joi provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Beehive 13U with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Macie, Reilly Tompkins, Joi, Charlee Ann, and Caroline Busby each collected one hit for Beehive 13U. Macie and Kennedy Lee each stole multiple bases for Beehive 13U. Beehive 13U stole six bases in the game.

Beehive 13U opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to two ground outs. Beehive 13U first got on the board when Caroline Busby grounded out, scoring one run.
In the top of the third, Beehive 13U broke up the tie when Kennedy Lee singled, scoring one run. Then an error followed to extend the lead to 4-2.
